This is a simple painting to remind us what Wilbur's fate is. It's a stark contrast between how we are allowed to see farmed animals as children and our adult vision of them (as cuts of meat). It reminds us that when we eat pork, we are eating an animal as worthy, intelligent and loving as Wilbur was.
