Description
Tara and her brother Avalo were foals when I found them at a livestock auction. By-products of the PMU (pregnant mare urine) industry, they were destined for slaughter. Their mothers' urine-collected with a rubber cone while confined to a stall for months on end-was used to create the drug Premarin. Premarin (now called Prempro) is marketed to menopausal women. While the drug company claims to help women, it prefers to keep the suffering females behind the product out of the public eye.

Horses are so precious, they absolutely do not deserve to be treated this way. Boycott Premarin!
Twyla Francois replied:
Thanks so much, Brenda! A boycott would collapse the PMU industry, sparing thousands of mares and foals from this suffering.
