Grat Hounds metal print by Twyla Francois. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

I recently discovered the illustrations of medieval animal lore and have been working to recreate them. The images are stirring on an unexpected level. Although created over 800 years ago, they reflect a deep fascination with and desire to understand animals. The characteristics of animals were said to serve as examples of proper conduct for humans, imbuing the "beasts" with a distinctly spiritual and even mystical quality. Bestiary images could be found everywhere - from manuscripts to wooden furniture and almost always had a moral message - one we can still learn from today.
