It's a little known fact, but domestic turkeys love the fall. The cooler temperatures allow them to move about without overheating (something they're prone to because of the industry's selective breeding for fast growth). And move about they do! Digging through colourful leaf litter, they search out tasty snacks and loudly alert the others when found. Fall shouldn't mean dead turkeys on a table. Instead, let's celebrate turkeys for the sensitive, social and gentle beings they are.
