You were born an animal protector, you just forgot. As children, we're allowed to see farmed animals as worthy of our compassion, but as we age, society teaches us to draw a sharp line between companion animals and farmed animals; yet each is equally capable of suffering and just as worthy, intelligent and loving.
Inspiring a kinder world for all through art.

Adorable painting.

I wish more people would visit a farm sanctuary and hold a piglet, perhaps that would open their eyes to the cruelty of eating pigs. Meeting a juvenile pig made me stop eating pork, it was just soooo cute.
Twyla Francois replied:
I agree Brenda! It was my experience of holding a chick that made me ditch chicken and eggs. Holding such a fragile, trusting being made me realize that farmed animals are just as worthy of our compassion as companion animals.

How can one look at this image and NOT choose compassion and love, over indifference and cruelty?
