April resides at Forever MicroRanch Sanctuary in Frontier, Saskatchewan. She came to the sanctuary when she was just one week old, searching for a mother. Alex and Jenn, the founders and caretakers of the sanctuary, bottle-fed wee April for three months, learning from her the meaning of family. According to Alex and Jenn: "April encourages us to open our hearts to those, human and animal, who require love and support in diverse ways, so they may flourish as a joyful member of their very own family."
